Sunday Night

Well it is another Sunday night.  Time to get my head around another work week and getting my body back into shape.  Time to get my butt onto a stage in 2013.  Like I said my thoughts are on the Texas State in the fall of 2013.

I will be keeping up my journal here throughout the week.  I need to start an online journal and a “manual” journal also so that I can keep things straight in my mind now a days since I have been allowing my mind to wander way to much.  Need to get my mind organized again and back on track.  Have a great night everyone and as always GO BEARS!!!!!

Mondays

Well went to bed at the “usual” time on Sunday nights and lo and behold I woke up at 2:30am and could not go back yo sleep at all. So I laid in bed trying to figure out my goals for the next month. Well taking into account for Thanksgiving I need to lose the weight I gained back while I was on the road the last three weeks. Having to go out onto rigs to swap out computers did not do me any good since I had no chance to do workouts or cardio.

So I think my entire goal is to lose the belly fat that I put back on from all the bad food I’ve eaten. If anyone has ever been on a rig platform they know that clean eating is none existent. The good thing is I am not having to travel anymore so I have access to my treadmill at home for 45 minutes of cardio in the morning and about 30 minutes at night before bed.

I will be slowly working myself back into my routine over the next month. I’ve really listened to my mentor Jaime and know that I can’t just jump back onto the wagon at what I was doing before I started all my traveling to the remote sites that were in small little towns. I have to start off slow and then once my body is hitting on all cylinders again I can get start back on all the killer weights and cardio sessions.

My goal is to compete at the 2013 Texas State here in Houston. Doesn’t matter what my weight is on the scale anymore. I come in at what I come in at. All that matters is I present the best me. As Dorian Yates always said, ” You are not competing with everyone else. You are competing to see how much better you are then last time.”

Another week out

Well here I am again.  Another week out on the road and hoping the gym that is near to the hotel is adequate in what I need for my workouts.  Also have to go to Walmart to get my meals for the week for my diet.  It kinda sucks, but hey that is what happens when trying to do some type of a diet while on the road.  Luckily the hotel has some high end cardio equipment for my cardio time.

Gotta say that it is pretty sweet that I am able to bring my supplements from Evogen Nutrition (http://www.evogennutrition.com).  If you have not tried it then I recommend it to anyone.  They are in my opinion the best pre/during and post workout supplements out there.  GlycoJet is also the best carb matrix out there.  I’ll be sure to add in my workout later tonight.

Good Thursday

Well I am sitting here out of town again and finishing up the migrations here in Pampa, TX.  While I enjoy traveling for work it does have a few disadvantages.  The biggest one is the ability to eat all your meals.  While I have been eating a bunch of the chicken from Walmart this is not always a great thing.  Plus I normally get limited to what my carbs are coming from.  I normally go with grits for my carb sources while traveling.

Been watching videos while working (I’ve re watched the FST-7 Defined DVD about 100 times.)  I’ll be on the road for one more month and then it is time to buckle down on everything and get into contest shape.  I’m in decent shape, but have not really been trying to kill it to much.  I much prefer my home gym in Clear Lake since they have all the equipment I actually need.  But the club up here is a smaller one that doesn’t have everything I need.

Well that is my update for the day.  Hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Monday’s

Well if you are like anyone else in the world you hate Monday’s.  I am not immune to this hate, but mine is amplified since I am traveling a bunch and away from my wife so I don’t get to kiss her hello in the mornings (it starts my day off right).  It is also the start to another week of 5 AM cardio sessions and heavy workouts in the evenings.  Today started off at 5 am and is now progressed to my egg whites and chicken with grits.  In about 30 minutes I have to meet my team and head out to the field office to start migrating their XP machines to Windows 7.  I will snap some photos of the area around the office and show you just what small town Texas looks like.  Until then peace and lift heavy!!!

A New Hope

The title is just a reflection of my love of all things Star Wars and really has nothing to do with the actual post.

I will be traveling for the next two months and have decided to really buckle down and blog about things on my travels. I will talk about my workouts, work and more then likely the countryside I am traveling through.

I’ll also post up pics and maybe some videos of things while I’m out in west Texas. So check back here starting on Sunday to keep track of things.

Another day another useless politician.

I love how everyone on the left are now jumping up and down and screaming for joy for all these “social” issues that Obama has all of a sudden had an epiphany on. When it comes to gay marriage and letting illegal kids that have followed the law get immunity (but not applied for citizenship for some strange reason) as if he is all of a sudden taking this monumental stand against the tyranny of the right.

While I agree the GOP has done nothing but revert to a great imitation of what Southern Democrats looked like from the early 1800’s through the late 60’s (if you are a teacher or a student of history you know what I am talking about) when it comes to these issues (and yes I lean towards the GOP on many things fiscally, but break with the party on social issues) I find it even harder for people that are normally highly intelligent to be reduced to giddy cheerleaders for possibly the slickest politician to ever get elected since well John Quincy Adams.

To quote a friend of mine, “he and his partner will not be voting for Obama this November simply because he all of a sudden quit evolving on the issue of gay marriage and has come out for it. To many in the LGBT community are jumping on a band wagon simply because they think he will actually do something. To me he is parading us around like a prized pony and i will not take it.”

And now I am off my soap box. If you simply want to call me names go for it and if you want to lay out the democratic talking points for these things go for it. If you want to thump your bible at me over my support of gay marriage go for it. I am a big boy and can take it. Heck if you make a good point then I will answer it that too.

Happy Easter

Just want to say Happy Easter to everyone. Will start posting back here now that I have entered into the 20 week barrier for my show.

I have never been an overly religious man because I think that man made denominations are rather hypocritical. Since we all believe that Christ came to Earth to die and then rise again why should man made denominations be more important that God and Christ.

To me they are not. I am but a simple man who thinks that through Christ we shall have our salvation. Faith and belief are the cornerstones of what Christ taught to his disciples. Why should we show any less of the cornerstones? So have a Happy Easter everyone. For today is the day our Lord rose from the dead and granted all of us (be you a sinner or a saint) eternal life.

Been a very long time

Hmmm seems I keep falling off the band wagon when it comes to my blogging, but I am thinking that it maybe time to get back on the horse and really blog for a change.  From bodybuilding to politics to everyday life.  Time to get my blog moving again.

Everyday stuff

Well it has been a little while since I actually just wrote a normal blog.  So here it goes and hopefully you like it.

It seems that people always forget the most important things in life.  Lord knows I have forgotten it many times over the last 2 years.  I am of course talking about family and friends, but most importantly I am talking about your spouse.  Sometimes I forget that she is just as invested in our marriage as I am.  I seem to forget that she is just as easily hurt by my inactions as she is by my actions and that this is the number one killer of any relationship.  Lately I have been trying to reconcile my own wants with what is best for our marriage and it seems every time I somehow start to blame her for me not being able to follow my dreams.  I forget that she also wants me to follow my dreams of becoming a pro just as much as I want.

So here I sit trying to figure out how in the world I am going to go about making sure that I take care of the one I love and at the same time invest 100% towards the goal I have set for myself.  I know most people will say hey a 34 year old has no shot at becoming a pro, but they don’t know me very well now do they.  So I guess that I just need to go all in and get this taken care of and by creating the life I want it will help out so she can have the life she wants.  Still working out the finer details of it, but it is coming along.  Also thinking of trying to get a blogging job on the side with a newspaper or something so that I can bring in extra money to help pay for all the groceries and supplements that I have to have to remake myself into a giant.  Guess it is time to talk to some of my friends that do this stuff for a living.

Well hopefully all of you are out there having a pleasant day and remember to thank everyone that has come into your life.
